High Idle

I recently installed a mild 351 using the basic stock
efi.

For the first several hundred miles of local driving,
it idled fine at about 700, and I was able to set
it. I did set the tps voltage after setting the
warm idle speed.

Lately, it's been idling a little over 1000,
although at times it will idle down to about 800.

I've tried resetting the manual idle but it won't
come down. Also have cleaned the IAS valve.

Also checked to make sure th trans tv cable
or the cruise cable isn't holding it open,
besides haven't readjusted anything since
before it started idling fast.

The tb does seem to be a little sticky at
closed throttle. It was a new one, Mac if
I recall. Got it from somebody who didn't
use it on a project.

Any ideas?

some folks like to do a slight polish on new TB's - the butterfly's can stick when near closed (kind of what like you describe, i think).
