Hi guys.
Looking to do a bunch of mods on my 99GT 5 speed.
I am an average at best with tools and such. I have most
manual tools and no power/air tools. Just wondering which
of the following mods you think an average joe should
be able to do himself.

borla catback
steeda ud pullies
h&r springs
3.73 frpp gears
speedcal
tokico 5 way shocks ands struts
caster/camber plates.

thanks much in advance!

You can deffinatly do those mods by yourself. Just make sure you have the right tools, like jackstands and such. They aren't hard to do at all. Just read the instructions and you'll be fine. Mechanics are people too-they aren't gods when it comes to cars. Well... Most mechanics anyways. Most of them really could care less about your car anyway and do a half assed job of the install. Good luck!

borla catback - DIY
steeda ud pullies - probably not a bad idea to have someone else do it.
h&r springs - DIY
3.73 frpp gears - someone else
speedcal - DIY
tokico 5 way shocks ands struts - DIY
caster/camber plates. - DIY

Mac all except for gears, you can do yourself. The gears you either have the assistance of some who has done it before, and a dial indicator and a coupe of bases. Or pay to have them done. All the rest are no problem with hand tools.

Just backing everyone else up...all DIY except the gears. I would leave that to someone who has done it before. I let the local Mustang guru do mine. He did them on a Sunday afternoon for $100 and everything has been great.
