My engine is rebuilt 1985 302 block with edelbrock performer rpm cam using non-ho firing order(#7122), edelbrock performer rpm intake (#7121) and edelbrock 750cfm carb (#1407) and rebuilt e7 heads decked .20 with new edelbrock valve springs (#5722). Any idea what kind of power my engine is making at the crank right now? I have no power steering, a/c, or smog pump. I'm using offroad h-pipe, flowmasters, equal length headers.
I basically want to know if my 302 would get a big boost in power by switching over to the same type of cam but using the ho firing order. it would have to be made also to work with flat tappet lifters. If so, what is it about the ho firing order that gives such a boost in power over the old firing order?
