HobieDude16's *OFFICIAL* 2009 NCAA Football Thread

If TP settles down and quits trying to force a pass when he's got an easy 5 yard run in front of him, Ohio State can be scary. The defense is nasty. 2 straight shutouts including a Toledo team that put up huge numbers against Purdue and Colorado. If you look at what our D has done, they've really only given up 3 scoring drives all year. Navy got 2 TD's off of big plays that were due to mistakes and USC got a TD after returning a TP INT to the 3 yard line.

I do not like TP at all. Hes a good scrabbler but passing wise. :notnice:

He may not be a great passer, but IMHO he's still the QB that gives us the best chance to win. He does show flashes of brilliance with his arm, but it looks like the game is still playing "fast" and he has to think rather than react and struggles checking down to the 2nd and 3rd receiver. It does look like the offense finally found a bit of a running game by going with some miss direction and counter plays rather than the power I that hasn't worked with anyone other than Maurice Clarrett (say what you will about his character, he could see the field and hit a hole in a way that only the greats can) and Beanie Wells.

(and, yeah, that's me on a gameday, the first of this year, actually)

Yup, rough, isn't it!? Seems about right for people from FL, though.....

Two teams that SHOULD be good looked like crap today (UGA and LSU), and I'm not too worried about this week. I feel that either Brantly OR Tebow can handle it, regardless of who starts. GO GATORS!
