So i'm out last night Christmas shopping after a long hard day of work. My ass was just about litterally dragging behind me in the stores, 11 o'clock comes around and its time for me to head home. On the way home, i'm taken by suprise when a brand new monte carlo SS keeps pulling up next to me egging me on, begging for a race. I'm thinking at this point, i'm too tired to care. But come on, that only last so long when you have a big headed chevy owner crusing around in his brand new SS. I couldn't take it, we met at the next light, as soon as the light turned green, he took off, I really wasn't going to race him, but my right foot begged to differ. I eased into into, trying to convince my foot not to, but the foot took over, once 3000 rpms where reached, the intake was beggin for more air, so I nailed it, and the race was on. Slammed 2nd, resulting in some tire spin, bogging the engine down (never turned off traction control seeing as how I didn't plan on a race) Pulled up next to him, and right past him, he kept up with me until I hit 3rd and my baby took off, at that point I was up to around 70mph we both had to slow down as a small group of traffic ahead approached fast. Not too bad for a basically stock 4.6 5spd. mustang. It was a good ending to a long day.

So long story short...don't be afraid of the new chevy 5.3 V8. I have no doubt in my mind that with a set of good tires and an exhaust, I would have smoked the car effortlessly.
