Ok this guy on Honda-Tech said his 98 NPI GT hit 13.7 with= DR, K&N, ASP Pullies, BBK off road X pipe, Flows. And he has a 100 shot on his car and hit 12 sec. Can a 98 gt do that with out PI Heads and Cams??? I have a 97 gt with full Bolt-ons Svo Heads , SHM Cams, Pro-Charger. I can't see it but could I be wrong What would he make to the wheel with his Mods HP and TQ??

i think it could be done if the car has had a good life and you launch the piss out of it. i think he would be dynoing around 200/260

could be done especially if the car is on a diet , weight reduction will give you some good ETs with traction

I ran a 14.40 with my mods spinning the hell out of my tires.. I am waiting for my drag radials to show up.. I should be very close to 13's with that..

Yea can be done easily. I hit 14.0 in my old 98 gt w/ only O/R H,welded in flows, K&n and 315/35/17 nittos. That car felt a little stronger down low compared to my new 01GT. NPI cars respond pretty well w/ bolt ons. Oh that run was w/ no spare/jack, and fresh oil change.

So, you got over a half second with a midpipe, mufflers, and tires?

Basically, the 96-98 5 speeds were pulling 14.6s - 14.7s stock?

984.6GT was running high 13's with a NPI 98 all motor and high 12's with a 100 shot. I'm sure he'll chime in.

The fastest I could get my car to go with 2.100 60 FT. times was 15.10 stock.. It took all the mods below to get 14.40 with the same 60FT time.. 14.0 with only H pipe and tires? No way..

That does seem about right with the spray.. I am sure he does have a new motor... he'd need one after a few shots of that! His car looks almost identical to mine.. Same rims and everything.. Except, of course, the E.T...

B.S There is no way a 98 GT ran 13.7 with Pullies , X pipe, DR. So a 99 and up GT will hit 12.7 with the same mods LOL

*cough* *cough* (raises hand)

14.085@95.11 with absolutley HORRIBLE racing weather. and no wieght reduction other than an empty trunk and 1/3 tank of gas with ricers dragging water on the track.

some good weather at Norwalk and i could make 13.7

Weather makes a huge difference, 984.6GT will be the first to tell you that it won't run 13.7 on any given day. But on a sunny, cool now huhmidity day, on a well prepped track with a good driver? very possible.

the car went 14.30 with a midpipe, shifter and pullies on stock tires and 2.73 gear. on one of those perfect weather days.

i have run a 14.92 @ 92 mph with a 2.0 60' time. My car is bone stock. Its a 98 gt 5 speed. I launched at about 2750 rpms and lightly feathering the clutch with practically no wheel spin.

weather and track prep can take 1/2 a second or more off your E.T

You calling me a liar?? Why would I make this **** up!? It is not hard at all if you know what your doing. Sounds like to me you waisted alot of money if you are only @ 14.40's! My time was with a 2.017 60ft. It was a 9.027 in the 1/8. Took my new 01Gt tonight w/ only exhaust and ran 9.060@79.95mph.YOu going to call me out on that too?
