Well .... a bit vague there.

What intake? Still running the Edelbrock? If so, I don't think you'll have a problem.

Good luck with the new combo!

I don't know if the 96' Cobra hood has more clearance than our stock hoods, but with a 3/8" spacer and an Edelbrock Performer I had to get a new hood. I probably could have just cut the inner liner of the hood, but that would have looked like crap and my whole project this winter was making my engine/engine compartment show worthy.

you can do like 95stroker suggested. that is what I did and with a little paint it came out pretty good. don't know if the cobra hood has a inner liner that can be cut or not.

I'll go get you a picture of it right now. brb

The 96 Cobra hood does have a small raise in between the two scoops, but not sure if that follows through to the inner section of the hood...

if i remember right people have said with a 3/8 you'll be fine just gotta ditch the fabric liner. With an 1" you have a problem even with certain after market ones. My first hood hit, the one i have now does not and they are both cobra r w svo scoop hoods. It hit in the back and I had to cut it to fit hood wouldn't close. It was a cheap POS hood though new one is MUCH better.

Who needs a hood anyway lol
