It's been awhile since I've posted here but StangNet's always been helpful so here we go:

When i pull the hood relase there is alot of tension I've yanked on it and even tried prying it with a wrench to get it to come back further. Nothing is working. So how can I open the hood with out the latch?

The cable isn't broken, it's just kinked and off it's normal track and my cars battery is dead so i can't move it until i get the hood opened.

Anyone have any ideas as to how i might open the hood?

Detach the cable/handle assembly from the car's interior and pull on the whole cable... casing and all.

Reach up in front of the core support behind the front bumper and pull the cable down. Works everytime.

Kurt,

By pulling the cable you mean just grab the whole plastic covered line that goes to the Latch?

Noobz347,

I'll give that i try too.

Thanks,
Bob

Yeah, just pull the whole plastic line downwards. The bending of the line creates enough tension on the cable to pop the latch.

Well i pulled the black casing and and bent the bracket enough to expose a bit of the cable. I then took a screw driver wedged it in and gently pry the cable until the latch poped. The latched opened with ease.

I took a picture for anyone else this could help.

Thanks for the help.
