Hood Lift Kit

Considering purchasing the Ford Performance Hood Lift Kit M-16826-MA for my new 2017 Mustang GT. Some reviews mention that the hood flexes quite a bit when closing. Anybody have any experience with this mod and have there been any problems? Don't want something that might distort hood or affect fit over time.

My son bought me one for Christmas and I cringe every time I close my hood. These hoods are not strengthend or braced if you will in the area in question for this pressure created by the cylinder. I close it very slowly and deliberately as not to damage my hood. So far it seems to be okay but I can't help to feel like a carbon fiber hood is in my future!
