hood pins location

would the bracket for the adjustable hood bumpers on the rad support work for installing the pins on a 66 or do i need new holes on top of the support? i will be installing the stainlesss frrp pins with lanyards and a glass hood this weekend. anyone have pics or measurements in from the fender of shelby pin locations? thx.

That is the place to put them, just as Shelby did!

Simply install the pins first and let the new hood come down and touch top of pins. Allow for a little forward movement of the hood when closing and drill holes.

First mount the pins,put some grease,close the hood so it rest on the pinsso the grease transfers to the hood and when you drill, DO NOT drill straightup into the hood,the holes must be at a angle since the hood closes on a arc.

great. thanks guys, just taking care of some odds n ends and it should be ready for the road. never change too much at once...rear pig/driveshaft/aod/fms347/fuel sys/msd/jba lt's/magnaflow/cooling sys/hood...it ran when i parked it ...lol.
