So did Saleen remove the honey comb insert in hood scoops and replace it with something?

I have seen them new with "straight slats" from Saleen.

Yes, it is a "slatted" insert (I have the proper term on my window sticker at home).

Does that slatted insert replace the original honeycomb or just go over it?
