Let me see....,.......I have to run the engine to the rev limiter for............ a minute or more, possibly destroying waaay more than just a set of 315 Sumitomo's. To maybe win 15 seconds of fame, and 400.00 on a show that caters to rednecks....

It's one thing to do a burnout,....But a burnout contest is something entirely different.
For every burnout contest there is, there is always one or more cars that has something blow out from underneath,......that catches on fire, and burns to the ground. It is by far one of the dumbest evolutions of the hobby that almost always deserves a " Here, holdmabeer" meme.

I've never understood burnout contests.
I'm all for a good burnout (or at least I used to be), but that's letting it rip from a stand still and driving off.
