Well I just bought the car. I noticed today that when I pushed the car to WOT I could smell a very strong coolant smell. When I stopped, the car was pouring coolant underneath, right behind the oil pan. I popped the hood and I could see coolant puddled underneath the throttle body, on the intake manifold (?) (sorry haven't done too much work on cars). It also looked like coolant was sprayed up along the hose that runs across the top of the firewall. The car was not smoking. The heater still runs hot as hell. I'm hoping it is a hose but does this sound more like a bad gasket? When I had the car parked, the faster I would push on the gas, the faster the coolant would pour out. Help please. Thanks. Oh yeah my car is a 92LX 5.0. Thanks.

Advance Auto and Autozone rents a pressure tester for free. Attach it to your radiator on the pressure cap and start pumping. If its a hose or gasket, you should see coolant coming out of it, or hear it. If nothing comes out, pull out the spark plugs and start pumping again, this will check the head gaskets.

Probably not head gaskets since there was no smoking or anything...
