'89 5.0 'loses' oil pressure at idle when hot. This doesnt happen when cold or warm, only fully hot. If i feather the throttle, the pressure guage raises to normal again.

I am (obviously) not willing to let it idle for any period of time incase I truly am losing pressure, so does anyone know how I can verify whether or not I am? I have changed the pressure sending unit already. Any suggestions welcome.

thanks

You might want to try an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, even the Sunpro gauges you get from the parts store work 100x better. The factory gauges aren't even suited for a Power Wheels, most people put water temp and oil pressure gauges in their fox somewhere.
