i am currently looking at either buying a older house and moving in and working on it while living in it or i thought about buying a couple of acres and building a shop/house on it and living in it(dont really care if the ladys like it or not) i figure if i get a woman down the road she would want to build a house anyway so why not save some money and get a shop. but i just dont know which to buy, both are reachable but the land and shop would be more reachable but not as soon. i just dont know which to go for. i live with my parents and can continue living here for a few more years.

i want to know the experienced take on this

i live with a buddy of mine that i played football with in high school. he bought the house a little over a year ago(basic, older starter home) we have fixed up a lot of **** and have made things a lot better then what they were. when be graduate from college he will probably make at least 50K back in profit (after about 4-5 more years)from the upgrades and property value going up.

on the other hand a newer house and a shop would be great.

buying a house now could make you elilible for some type of tax right off which isnt too bad either, especially if you are single still.

yes still single and a tax break would be nice but the property tax i would think would be cheaper or about the same for better stuff with a shop

and i am talking about doing the shop all up and making a sweet bachelor pad!! with 2 stories and it would be lots more sq ft then a house

lol, Thats what is great about GA we moved here from texas so I speak from experience, we were living in a small 4 room house with 5 kids and two parent( boys and girls were doubled up and baby sis go her own room) and now in GA we live in a 6 bedroom house that is about 5000 some SQ ft where everyone has their own room. Plus the quality of life is great here too!

we got the house that i was just talking about for 106. we live about 1.5 miles from kennesaw state university(in georgia). its no dallas, but the school is 2nd or 3rd in the state now. i figure another 10-15 years and it will be up in the ranks of the larger D1 schools here in ga(UGA and Tech)

weather is good, except for the random scatterded showers. like today it was perfect, not too hot, not too cool, little to no humidity.

mustangs are everywhere you turn, mostly newer, but you see the occasional 5.0 here and there which is good.

cmon man its the south. we got all the southern eyecandy you can take! ha!

Weather is good year round, as long as your not in the mtns, limited snow maybe .12342344r543inches ayear lol. We got no snow last year. and the summers usually top out at around 95*. Just for reference I DD my stang through the winter last year(buick was down) and it had some wintery days where it was nice and sunny and cool, I had the top down

2750 Is a big house man, a big house. I find it funny that you say a 4 bedroom house is "small" lol. Try living in a 375 sq. ft. basement suite with 2 bedrooms. Yeah, figure out how small everything would be.

judging from the looks of Beast's neighborhood, he looks to be priveledged, perhaps 2750 is "cozy" to him.

Id say do the buy the land thing. I know a guy down here who bought some land and built a shop on it but in the shop he built an apartment for himself . He said it ended up being cheaper then buying a house. Now he has his shop and another place where he now lives. He has a pretty nice spread in a nice area of town town here.
