I recently lowered my vert with Pro-kit springs (1.2 inch drop at the front). At the same time, I installed a new parts store tie rod end on the driver's side. After everything was installed, I noticed a popping/clunking sound when I release pressure off the brake while turning. My ball joints were installed a few months ago. When I was installing the suspension stuff, I accidentally supported the a-arm by the ball joint (with the spring in). So I am wondering whether I hurt the ball joint, either by supporting the a-arm by the ball joint or by lowering the car. For some reason, I think that it might be the new tie rod that I installed (maybe there is some binding). What are your thoughts? Thanks for the help in advance.

Oh, I also installed new wheel bearings, but I followed the Haynes manual, so I don't think that is a problem.

Probably the tie rod ends. Make sure they are tight enough and you may want to look at some offset rack bushings. When I lowered mine it caused the tie rods to bind up the suspension and not allow hardly any travel. I put in the rack bushings and it made world of difference. They are cheap and they do help. i f those aren't enough you may need a bump steer kit with the longer tie rod ends as well. I find that all cars are different.
