How best to have new leather seat coverings installed?

I just got some leather seat covers, that are simular to the 35th Anniversary seats, which are the kind that replaces the existing fabric. What is the best way to go about having these installed? It is simple enough I can do it my self or should I find an upholstery place to do it for me? If the latter, how much is a reasonable price to pay to have them installed and does anyone know a good place in Indianapolis to have it done?

After I get them put in the car I'll post a bunch of pictures. Right now I am just trying to determine how best to go about doing that. Surely someone who posts here has changed their car's upholstery. I called one place and they wanted $275 to do it! I am going to call some more places and see if I can find someone cheaper. I saw a thing on one of Spike TV's car shows where they changed the coverings of a Mustang's seats. I wonder if I can find that for download somewhere.

Ya, i know the episode of HorsePowerTV that you're talking about, but also realize that you have to do it right the firs titme and make sure you don't have any wrinkles left it in or anyhting. Personally, i think you should have them professionally installed becuase then its done right....oh, and you can blame someone else if it doesn't turn out well :nice:

No, I have crappy cloth seats now. I made an appointment with a local upholstery shop to put the leather covers on tomorrow. Hopefully if the person doing it is anything of a professional at all he'll do a good job. Since I've never done this and it involves a lot of money I am nervous about having it down. What do I do if he @$%&s it up? I looked the covers over and the look really good except one has what looks like sticker residue on it. Hopefully it should clean off really easly. I'm also a little considered because the silver inserts are darker than I thought they were and they might clash with the silver painted interior pieces. I think it will be ok though. Hopefully I'll have pictures to post tomorrow.
