Got my 07 GT last week and I am starting the upgrades.
Cold air is top on the list so I opened the hood to see what the factory setup was like. It looks fair with an attempt to take air from near the wheel well. I looked at pictures of aftermarket CAI kits. Alot cleaner and better flowing, but they seem to draw air from even closer to the motor than from the factory. Some seem to have a few shields to somewhat protect them but they seem to suck alot of non cold air to me.
Tell me what I am missing here. Are most of the HP gains from the flow design?
