I have a 2001 V-6 with a bad CCRM = no A/C:(. I have the part numbers off the CCRM, but can't match them up exactly with any on EBay or any where else. How important is it for the part numbers to match exactly? or does it even matter? The wife really wants her A/C back so she can stop driving the old minivan.

There are a couple of ways to answer this question.

How much do you plan to save going the ebay route? I ask because it is possible to buy a re-man unit from the auto parts store for $125 that is guaranteed to work.

The other is to ask how much is your Wife's appreciation worth?

Another option is to go to oreillyauto.com and search on PN# RCM12M. Note the model compatibility (1994-2003). This may imply that the same part covers a very wide range of model years.

The advantage of going to a local store is the part is available with almost no wait. If it does not work, there are no questions about getting your $$ back. And if it were to fail after a short time, there is a warranty on the part.

IMO, ebay would have to save a ton of $$ to make it worth the risk.
