I've been all through my Haynes Repair Manual
and they don't say a single thing about how to adjust my emergency brake handle... I need to loosen it.. I know the adjuster is in the base of the e brake handle but how do you adjust it?

Thanks in advance...
Brian

There is no way to adjust them.

The calipers are self-adjusting. Applying the e-brake with your foor OFF the service brake is all you can do to adjust.

If your brake is weak, then you may have other issues such as stretched cables, or faulty calipers or just may need a brake job in the rear

I was simply wondering because I have a rotational squeek in the left rear, and it goes away when I apply the e brake a little... maybe somthin is loose?

Grease the backside of the pads and the slide pins and that should fix it.

You dont' need to take the whole assembly off just the front part of it. You loosen the two bolts holding it on. It is the part that slides. Then slide the pads out and the rotor. you might need to loosen the top bold holding the whole caliper assembly but that is it! I just did my brakes 2 days ago.
