I have 1966 Mustang V8. Currently having engine rebuilt. Builder recomends
1800 to 2000 torque converter. Is there anyway to identify the Torque Converter stall speed from the casing. The car was originally used as a drag car. I have since restored using NOS parts. Engine is a 302 being bored over .060 with 10:1 CR . Will be using RPM or Air GAP for manifold. Trans is a C4.

Do you know if there is any disadvantage to running a 2200 to 2500 stall converter rather than stock. Since I have 3.89 gears on a 9" rear, I would think the RPMs' are going to be higher to get the gears moving any way.
Not sure if I should me spending cash to get a stock converter.
