How do i remove master cylinder pushrod???

Im doing the dual conversion and the only problem im having is transfering the old push rod to the new dual mc. the new mc pushrod is way too short and wont work, so i need to get the 65 pushrod out of the master cylinder but cant figure out how. anyone know the trick to removing the push rod/???/

Look inthere and see if there is a c-clip; if so, you need some snap ring pliers or jerk the crap out of it.

I just did this a day ago.

I put the MC in a bench vise. Put a stocket extension in the hole where it would usually attach to the brake pedal on the pushrod. I used a breaker bar and kept whacking the socket away from the MC. After about 20 whacks the spring clip thing bent enough to where it came out. There is prolly a better way... but yeah.

I just did the same exact thing with my old master cylinder, but used a hammer instead of the breaker bar (same outcome). The 1/2" drive socket extension fits perfectly.
