how do i remove my steering wheel?air bag no boom

my steering wheel has play inside the column and i gotta investigat,,but im scared of activating the air bag

once you unplug the battery for a period of 1 minute the charge in the bag is eliminated so it wont pop.

i still waited like 10 minutes after unplugging the battery AND sat back in the seat while unscrewing the bag just incase

He is right unhook the battery the reserve power for the bag will be gone for sure I would wait 10-30 mins I don't want to be in front of one that goes boom. I saw one set off on the shop floor at school those things will knock the s**t out of you. Easy job!!!!!

Sorry….I just started laughing uncontrollably when I read this statement. Sorry if it was a legitimate car accident, but I just pictured some kid screwing around with his steering wheel and setting it off in his face. White powder everywhere and a goofy shocked look on your face!
