How do i trace the history of my car?

I live in Ireland and bought the car in the UK last year. I have a Marti report for the car but know nothing about its history other than its UK reg.

How can i find out the original US registration number? Can i then use this to trace the cars history?

Any help would be appreciated.

well you cant run a carfax cause of lacking numbers compared to the newer cars..most i can tell ya, you can look at the vin and find the date it was made...
