How do you disconnect the Speedo Cable?????

Im in the prossess of installing some white face gauges, and i cant figure out how to disconnect the speedo cable from the housing. how do you do it??? also the 2 wire harness in the back of the housing are out but i broke the plastic clips that hold them in place, should i be ok when i put them back in?

On the speedo cable, there is a a white plastic thing around the part where it goes into the cluster, you push down on only one side of it, and pull it off...I think there is a raised section on the white part, push that down, and pull the cable off....

Let us know how that turned out, I helped change a speedo cable on my friends stang and the speedo never really worked correctly afterwards. At about 60 mph it woul djump to 140 mph.
