HOW DO YOU GET THE PIN OUT?

How do you guys get the pin off the gas pedal lever? My pedal broke off and I got some Bullitt pedals, I know the clutch and brake pedal are hard, but i thought I could just take the pin out and put the new gas pedal on real quick, but I guess not!

What else is new, nothing ever goes right with Mustangs... :bang:

I used a shop vise. Made the job much easier.

Crusty old thread.

How hard do you have to beat on that thing, to be able to break it? I've got a 1" spacer on my throttle cable, and I mash the crap out of it, and that hasn't even broken yet!

unbolted the pedal bracket and used a hammer to drive the pin in all the way. A lot easier than standing on your head under the dash :nice:

LOL.

sorry to revive an old thread, but my damn pedal fell off today, and i could not figure out how in the hell to get that pin back in!! i cant even figure out how it worked itself OUT!!!

then i came here and searched for a similar issue so i wouldnt be starting a thread with a common problem. i just had to quote that, because i, too, was just under my dash on my head with channel locks and a hammer cursing my head off!!

guess the actuator comes off tomorrow to get beat down.
