i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and the only way i manage to get to it, was by taking the wheel off and using a big ass extention with my rachet.

What he said.. take the wheel off. You gotta go through the side of the crossmember and use an extention. Trust me.. I had the same problem years ago. You'l get it.

Wheel on, really long extension or a coupe of them, go through from in front of the K member.

A specific flex socket helps. Use a 6 point socket if at all possible.

That's how I get-r-done. The weirdest combination of extension handles you've ever seen. Might even have to use the wobble extension for that one.

I went through the K-member, but I couldn't get the socket on there all the way. I went from underneath not through the wheel well. I will pull the wheel tonight and try again.

Thanks for all the help, it's off!! I didn't have to take off the wheel. I used a 1/2 drive set up with a 6 point socket, 31" of extension and a swivel.
