Hello, new here!
I'm looking to get a new car and really wanted to get a 12 Mustang v6 premium.
However I've read some issues with the MT and was wondering how you guys like your 12 model so far. I know this topic has been covered over and over but everything I've found were all few months old so I wanted to hear some updates from 11-12 owners. Put your model year, mileage, trim. Thanks!

Driving a '11 GT/CS manual with 12,000 miles. No issues at all since the car was new. I do test the high speed shifting at least once each time I drive it. Wife just keeps on reading and casually asks "Did you hit triple digits this time?" lol

12 GT w/6spd here at 6000 miles. Loving my car so far. No regrets. Do the V6's come with the 6 speed? Cause those are the ones with issues supposedly. Seems hit and miss. Only 2 things I don't like about the car:

1. Skip shift feature
2. Arm rest/cupholder rocks around doesn't "click" into place

Not a V6, and not a manual... but a great car. The fit and finish of the Stang is really good and its fun to drive. I would buy it all over again...

2011 GT Premium, 6-speed manual w/ 3500 miles. I have noticed that it takes a little bit more effort than normal to get it into 2nd gear at times, but for now, it still goes in without grinding. Otherwise, the shifter is very precise and very smooth. The car exceeds my expectations, and I love everything about it. The fuel economy is even pretty good (upper 20s cruising on the interstate). I would definitely buy another one, except I'd never give this one up.

Also, if it helps, I test drove a 2011 V6 automatic before I ordered mine. The V6 has plenty of mid-range torque, and I was surprised with how lively it was when I got on it a little. However, the automatic likes to dive into its tall overdrive gears too soon and is a bit reluctant and slow to downshift, which combined with a standard 2.73 rear end, takes a lot of the fun out. (60 mph was less than 1500 RPM on it). Unless the newer models include full manual selectibility with the automatic, I'd recommend the manual. I'd also recommend the 3.31 rear. That's what my GT has, and that gear is plenty tall enough for highway efficiency. (About 1700 RPM@60). Anything taller will bog it down too much in overdrive.
