How fast is a 350z?

damn, that is crazy! if i knew in 2002 that all these damn cars were going to roll off the dealer lots with all this hp i wouldnt have started to build this GT! i compramise warrenty, reliablitiy, and a ford dealer cant even work on it anymore. (not that i want them too, but in an emergency)

but i love the car, im just saying it could have been a whole lot eaiser.

cant wait for the novi.

they are very nice and fast cars. Too bad they can outrun their fugriness no matter how fast they are.

I do like way convertible looks tho. Seriously, if then up the output to 330, and may be up the torque to 280, I would seriously consider getting convertible

Speed wise

Stock Z > Stock GT

Bolt-on GT > Bolt-on Z

I speak from 3 years of experience. 1/4 mile times are between 13.8x (RARE)-14.2x depending on driver, track ect....

I hear they will be up to 330hp for 07.
They are a drivers race for a GT stock vs stock. Thing is, everytime i go to the track, i don't see a single freakin one break 14.4's. VERY tempermental car to launch with a good amount of wheel hop. Test drove one and it was fun but very touchy off the line.

My good friend has one and I've raced him over 80 times in the past 3 years. When both were stock, off the start I'd get a jump on him, up to the 1/8 it was not bad but right after he'd go passed me pretty good. He would always trap 2-3 mph more than me. From a roll I wasn't even close. A few bolt-ons took care of ALL that:D.

You are right though, they are hard to launch.

True, from a highway roll or anything over 40mph really, they have the advantage due to gearing and a bit more hp. Gears take care of that problem though :D

yea they are nice cars but you know what i dont think they are that quick on a track. Or maybe its all the drivers ive seen with them. The best times i have ever seen in an 1/8th mile with them is 11s which i know thats teh drivers fault but i dont understand how anyone can do that bad and still gettin better 60's than me. Its not like they are bogging the motor down and it sounds like they are getting there shifts correct i just dunno. Now in the twisties im sure they are nasty but i dont think its much of a drag car. It probably takes a lot of practice to get those things to run low 14s. But they are also top end monsters too they dont really generate torque very quickly.
