I see homeboy's FB at Knotts yesterday. I go to check out how far he rolled his fenders. I get a present.

I went looking for you, but I guess I missed you. I have a couple of quesitions.

1. Outside of rolling the outer lip, what else did you do to get that tire in there?

2. Does it rub on the inside if you drive the car hard in a corner?

3. What offset and width wheels do you have?

4. How do you keep that tire slime from slinging on the quarters and rockers?

Not much really, "massage" the inner corner and the body guy cut the lips back,but i would have rather rolled them, you can get more clearance by rolling,not cutting

No it doesnt run inside at all

3. What offset and width wheels do you have?
17X8 w 4 3/4 BS

4. How do you keep that tire slime from slinging on the quarters and rockers?
no secret there, i use the Armor All Extreme shine and some Meguires over that.Havent had a problem with slinging

Damnit... every year this show comes around I want to go and check it out but I'm always doing something important. This year is was a report for class.... At least next time it rolls around I'll be done with college. Maybe I'll catch it next year....

That's the second time I've seen your car, there's so much to see it's hard to catch it all.

Next time just grab what you need.My freinds that were near the car gave up after so many people walked up "yeah, I know him from the forums....." .I wouldnt mind.It was nice to put names with faces. I also met Mr Reenmachine as I was driving out.

I've never been, always in the NorCal at the time that it rolls around. Would it be possible to go in as a group and have a StangNet group parked together? I would love to see all of these beautiful cars in one shot...

they park by years, but usually if you drive in together and are of the same year, you should be close enough.

Years back is was all mixed body styles in the same area, which i liked better becasue you can only see so many 65 coupes with wire wheel hubcaps before you get bored.

They use to do that at a car show that they have in Coos Bay, finally they got the hint that car clubs wanted to park together and just let them park. I think it's cooler to have a whole club together with their insignias flying.

Eh, I mean, because it sure would suck for those people with project cars that are closer to the begining of the project than the end if they got turned away. Not that that's me or anything.....

There are plenty of work-in-progress cars there.

There was 1200 or so cars there of all shapes, sizes, and finishes.

I didn't take a picture of it, but the Grassroots Motorsports $2003 Challenge Pinto with a fuel cell, no window glass, a small block ford, and a really good Mad Max motif was probabally my favorite of the show, certainly in the top 5.

Here is my top 5:

- The Boss 302 road race car that was on the cover of Hot Rod about a year ago, complete with brakes off an Indy car
- A 1982 Four Eye Mustang Hatch that somebody had done a restomod rotissire job on
- The "Road Warrior/Mad Max" themed Grassroots entry
- All Stock 38,000 mile 1978 Mustang II in Tangerne Orange with Omaha Orange interior
- Somebody's gennie 1965 coupe that looked like it had been a daily driver with minimal maintance for the past 42 years

Honorable Mentions-

- "The Butt Grease Special"
- Those goofy english Fords I'd never seen before
- The Cosworth rally car
