Fords 800# is 1800-962-3746
You will Need a Dora that the dealer SHOULD give you,and if they don't I would ask for your money back.
On the Dora it has your Dealer# and Order# on it so you can call Fords 800# and see where your Stang is at.
Some dealers don't want to give you the information because they are afraid you will know more then they do.
Early March you can order a 2007 Stang Gt and you might have it by ealy or later July depends on the dealer.
The dealers in the south have better allocations,and its best to get a car down there.
Now lets say you are lucky and get the 2006 stang by April or May if you are lucky.
You could have got a 2007 2 months after that.....
I would say if you cannot buy a stang gt on a ford lot,and you should be able to in the south(take a ride}
I would wait till March and order a 2007,No Differance but a better resale if you ever want to trade it in....
If you call fords 800# and you are still C/U in Late Feb then I would run and get my money back and find a dealer that you can order a 2007 from then,because you will not see the car and will have to reorder in in june 2006 as a 2007 but you will be wayyyyy behind because there will be many people ahead of you that orderd a 2007 GT in March....good Luck...JT

Thaks for the advice. I did get the DORA when I ordered the car. I have a priority of 11. I am going to call the 800 begin of feb to start and see, then again the end of feb is nothing then I will go ahead and reorder the car so it will be an 07.

Thanks

2006 GT 5-spd w/ 18's - Ordered June 4, still C/U. Dearler told me it the 5-spd 18" combo is why it's taking so long. I've been #1 on his list to get the next GT for the last couple of months.

Don't know what you dealership is talking about, all of the 06's we have ordered have been w/ 18'' wheels and we keep receiving them. Sounds like your dealer has a very small allocation, so my advice would be to find another dealer.

Yep I have the same wheels Hearne,,,wondering why people don't like them???I think they are Hotter then the bullits,,,,I had the Bullits on my 2003 stang Gt...
Does not matter what your Priorty# is,,,its what your dealer allocations are,and don't beleave the dealer that you will get the car....
Just wait Till the end of Feb and see if you are still at C/U and then you know your dealer was screwing with yeaaaa.
And yes if you are still at C/U in feb you will be better off ordering a 2007 GT in early March,But go to a Big Dealer in the South.......
I would go on fords web site now and see what dealers in the south that have 10 or more GTs in stock NOW.And when March comes around you will know what dealer will be the best for yea......JT

I called my dealer in Toledo Ohio on 11/29/05 to order a gt coupe w/manual trans. Was told their allocation was used up for the year. Dealer called me the next day and said she had to take 5 six cylinder cars to order one GT. She ordered the car on 11/30/05. It was built on 12/12/05 and I took delivery 1/2/06.

Funny though that although these wheels are a $195 option, the ones who list them on ebay want double and triple that for them. I was looking to pickup an extra set to paint black to run with a set of raised white letter tires, but have yet to find someone who'll take a reasonable price for them. I never cared for the Bullets in either the 17" and sure as hell wouldn't pay $900 to upgrade them to 18's. And don't EVEN ask me what I think about the 18" "fan blades"

I know, but my sales guy is a good friend from high school. I've bought all my Ford's through him. Guess I'll keep waiting!!!

I ordered a GT Oct 15th, with the 64W wheels. The dealership screwed up twice, and entered the wheels as 64E. I called them back the first time, and they promised to change it, but turns out they didn't.

Kzinti, on Blue Oval forums got the window sticker, and when I saw which wheels the car was built with (built on 1/10), I refused to take the car. When the dealership tried to enter another order this week with the 64W wheels, it wouldn't allow it in the Ford system. I don't know if it was a commodity hold, or a problem with their allocation. I didn't care either. I really thought I was going to have to wait on an '07.

I got on the internet through FordVehicles and found the car I thought I had ordered in Georgia at Hardy Ford. I called Bob Moses on the 11th, who offered a discount to MSRP with the 64Ws. He got the car ready, and I took a bus to Atlanta. They picked me up, and today I drove my GT home. Great experience, and really nice dealership to do business with.

when I had my 2003 stang Gt i had to replace the wheels at $125 each from a fordsweb site out of a Mustang Gt magazine about 3 times...{didnot look on ebay}
I have been looking at a few 17inch wheels on ebay and many want top dollar....
I would only want to buy 1 if i hit that bump....JT

Well thanks for all the posts and help. You were right. I found the car at another dealer in another state. Going to purschase it today and have it trucked over. It was $500 less than I was going to pay at my local dealer too for the same car. Thanks again.
