I just did a 5 lug conversion on my car and in the process i upgraded my front calipers to 95 cobras with 95 spindles and 13 inch rotors and stainless steel brake lines, and also 2 new 5 lug drums and shoes in the rear. I was wondering how long it will take for the brakes to have good stopping power after the shoes and rotors settle. Also my rotors were cut cause i got them used. They are brembo drill slotted rotors.

Hell if you were going from stock Fox Brakes to the set up you have, even with the lousy rear drums you should have MUCH better braking ability unless you did something wrong along the way.

Well just now coming home from work i finally got my front wheels to lock and work good,so i guess the bed in period is finally gone now.I know now that i can probably break my neck if i slam the brakes in,lol. Now i'm happy. All hail svt cobra parts.

Just make sure you have the proper eyeball retaining equipment correctly installed prior to applying too much brakes!

Did you do the entire Cobra brake swap? Where are the pictures?

When you add some SN95 rear discs, a new Booster and M/C, the difference will be night and day!
