How long from ordering to build date did it take for you?

How do you find out what the VIN is? I ordered mine on 12/20 and have called the 800# a couple fo times and all it tells me is that my order is clean and unscheduled. I know they shut down for a few weeks for the holidays so I am not overly worried but waiting for this thing is really going to take my patience to the edge. And I never really had any patience to start with.

How does priority on the order sheet affect the dates? I looked on my order sheet and it said Priority 10.

Keep checking the 800#; it will tell you when your ordered car has been assigned a VIN; a build date; shipping date; etc. I ordered a GT on 12/14, I'm still sitting in clean and unscheduled. I'm afraid the holidays slowed everything up - I'm hoping starting this next week that Ford starts pulling some of these C&U orders for VIN assignment and build weeks. Priority 10 is the best you could have, by the way.

Thanks for the information bashed1. I guess I will have to sit around most of the winter and dream about driving my Screaming Yellow "other woman". Normally that would not be a problem because of the snow and salt but this winter we have not had snow once yet and many clear cool days that are very condusive to quick quarter mile times.

7 weeks and that's with an IUP 2 week hold.

Huh?? Where'd you get that info? Last I knew, the AAI plant shut down on 12/23, will reopen at full capacity tomorrow (1/03/05).

My Dealership said they would close for two weeks starting on Monday December 20th and reopen Monday January 3rd. Since they update the orders on Thursdays (from what I hear) I am patiently waiting till this thursday for some news. The Instrument Upgrade must have gotten resolved as I am back to clean and Unscheduled. I will make a prediction now....
By this time next week I will have a Feb build date!
