I just bought a new Intake Manifold for a 98 GT. I have to replace the factory one since the thermostat housing is cracked (since the ford geniuses thought it would be cost effecient to manufacture it as a piece of plastic) So how long will it take to remove the old one and put the new one on? And is it a pain in the butt to do?

Im thinking it's going to be longer than an hour.

My install will be started around 4:30 Friday and hopefully I'll have it finished before it gets too dark (7:30 or so).
I'll also have a rental car just in case something doesn't go correctly;)

Wellim going to tackle the task of installing the new intake, new shocks and struts, new brake pads and changing the oil. So we shall see how long it takes...Ill try and get some before and after pics...the new intake I have came with everything, new alternator bracket, gaskets and such. Its also got the aluminum crossover and not that cheap crap. So good luck to us

Get if off of Ebay for $199.99 + 20 shipping? :) That's what mine ended up being.

Came with EVERYTHING.

My plan is to remove intake, clean everything up under hood, put new intake on, change wires/plugs and hopefully everything goes well.

Install sounds easy, but those are the kind which usually go wrong

Yeah mine ended up being like $200 shipped I believe. Since the old one leaked so bad im going to have to clean up mine as well. What would be the best thing to use to clean up the engine to remove some of the antifreeze stain?
