my 88 gt mustang has 2in lowering springs that were on a 95 cobra, so right now my o/r h-pipe sits exactly 2in off the ground. well i want to go lower. what do u think it will take to lower my car more? chop springs? what about new control arms or what not.....any suggestions? i know im going to have to raise my piping, but what else?

If your 88gt is 2 inches lower you are already very low. Besides if you go any lower you will adversly affect handling. Don't cut the springs it will ride even worse than it already probably does. Springs were not meant to be cut.

To cure the exhaust hitting loosen the fittings at the headers (not heads) and where the h-pipe meets the catback, raise it up, and retighten.

And if you'd like to be a real moron and make it lower, take a blow torch and heat the springs up.

i was thinking air bags cuz i already scrap over every speed bump cuz the pipe hangs so low....lol......i was look at it and to raise it ide have to cuz the hangers and shorten them and it would fit higher...right?

ya i was a little tired, i ment......i was looking at the h-pipe and to raise it i would have to cut the hangers and shorten them to make my pipe hang closer to my car....sorry for the confusion.
