I just bought my first mustang and have some questions about it that some people here might be able to take a stab at. Its a 1989 gt convertable. It has the folowing done to it. 302 block with gt40 intake 65mm throtle body and 73mm mass air sensor • Edelbroc Performer RPM oversized heads • Edelbroc aluminum valve covers • Edelbroc 30lb lifter kit • Edelbroc Rolling Thunder rumble cam • Edelbroc aluminum pistons • New altenator • Paxton sn89/ Supercharger • New spark plugs • New wires • New plug cap • Brand new “Super Shorty” throw clutch • New clutch cable • New 355 gears • New 5 speed TKO tremec transmission, A new high flow fuel pump and 30lb injectors. subframe connectors installed and a 10point cage with 5 point harnesses installed. Can anyone guestimate the performance of this engine and car??? I am in the service and havent driven it yet. My friend at home said it is sickening fast. I am just curious of the horsepower estimates and if all these parts are a good match. OH and it is running 6psi of boost.

nice car, best way to figure HP, even better than dyno IMO, is hit the drag strip, most tracks have scales, weigh your car. then search google for "weight/ trap speed= hp" calculator, input the #s and it will give you a very acurate RWHP #.

Probably closer to 350-375 HP
And your tune is a big thing. Could be at 200hp with a rotten tune...haha. Are you running an aftermarket computer?

Smart to keep the boost at smaller practical levels. I think i'm about 6-8 psi on mine. More boost superheats the air and is hard on the charger, wind up loosing power and deminishing the sn life substantially.

the old SN paxton is an old school blower, prolly not makin to much boost, id say your at 350-375 at the tires. You got some good basic mods already done, a good tune is not a bad idea for ya!!
