Ive come across a really good deal on a set of Granatelli Upper/Lower control arms, and Im wondering how much they will help me at the track. I have stock suspension right now, and will have 26.5/8.0/15 Hoosier Slicks. Mods are in my sig too, what kind of 60 fts do you guys think I will hit with this?

Slicks and stock suspension is not a good combo and these will help others can help more but what you need is a drag suspension setup like Steeda and others offer.

They will help tighten the rear end up alot. If it is a daily driver you will notice a big difference in handling and stability. At the track the car will launch much more clean and crisp. It will put the power to the ground and not into the chassis.

I cut my 60s down from 2.0s to 1.89s with upper/lowers on street tires.
With slicks it made all the difference in the world. 1.9s down to low 1.7s

Not only that but they will help protect your torque boxes (as long as they have poly bushings, not solid bushings). Stock rubber wears quickly and will allow your arms to act as a slide hammer when launching and banging gears.

They'll make that car hook thats for sure and stay away from the southside type lower control arm if this is a daily driver, those are very hard on the torque boxes for everyday driving...You could get some sort of adjustable upper arm to set the pinion angle that you want, that helps the car plant the tire hard as well.

I think that is what I need. The car was lowered before I bought it and has C/C plates and looks good, but doesn't hook worth a crap. I put slicks on and the best 60' time I had was 1.88 with a 13.84 run at 99mph.
Any other brands that would be good for upper/lower sets???

I bought factory 5 arms for my Capri. The car launches straighter, the rear squats more and gets the power to the ground. Now I have a new problem. Wheel spin! With the 3.73s and control arms I get alot more wheel spin buts its more controled so maybe its time for stickier tires. Seems like the goodyears are just not cutting it.

I have E brock lowers with HD Ford Uppers and they do a good job for street but not as good as could be for strip action! For strip get adjustables so you can set pinion angles!!

wishihadastang125 "anyone know anything about steedas new control arm?"

Steeda has several fairly new arms. They have the billet weight jacker lower arms that allow you to change the ride height in the rear with a quick turn of a 1/2" ratchet. This can be beneficial for running slicks (to clear fender lip, etc) and also for balancing the weight of the car.

Steeda also has new lower steel arms that are fully boxed and come with urethane bushings.

Of course, they also have standard aluminum lowers and uppers as well as their double adjustable uppers - basically something for everyone!
