My AODE has been a piece of crap ever since I dropped 2k on it for a PI converter, shift kit, and cooler. It slips all over the place.

I'm a college student and I've been saving up all summer to be able to do a swap on it, but I only have about 1500 saved up. I wouldnt make the same mistake twice and pay somebody else to do it, a buddy of mine has a lift in his garage and we can set aside a weekend to do it, but I need to know how much it's going to cost and where to get parts from.

Thanks guys

mine was free just swaped it with a friend and made his an auto...just had to do ALL the labor myself and it took me 3 days for both cars, but i think 1500 should cover it for you maybe even less if you piece the kit toghether yourself

Out of all the mods I did to the tranny, the transgo shift kit made the most difference. It made it less sloppy and the tires always chirp into second gear.

The converter, however, made it sloppy as hell started making my tranny slip. Either I got a faulty PI unit or the shop who installed did a crappy job.

You could do it for $1500.It depends on how much stock & used stuff you want to use.Plus if your friend will help you for beer and pizza saves money on labor.Dont pay to much for labor you could do this in your driveway with jackstands.
