How much for an upper and lower Cobra intak? How much power?

:(

I knew something happened because I was helping my cousin get one and they said they ran into some "issues" with the original cast and wouldnt be able to sell him one for around 4-5 months. Obviously this would have been the time to have China start making them. Makes sense now. Anywho we found two remaining from the actual Ford casting and had him buy one, but it sure wasnt only $300....

If running this with stock heads, it will rob some low end power and move the powerband higher creating more top end power.

A tmoss ported lower might be a better peice to run with stock heads as the stock 5.0 intake is good at low end torque. The lower is the restriction but porting will take care of that.

If heads are in the future...disregard, but you might be able to pick up a tmoss stock lower and run that until you get heads and perhaps a different upper intake.

That is a commonly quoted "internet expert" bit of misinformation. A Cobra-equipped stock engine loses nothing down low, but has an increase in both power and torque over a very broad band.

to the OP - if you put on a Cobra with a 55mm Fox MAF, BE SURE to change out the MAF with a 70mm 94-95 MAF and then you can run a 65mm or 70mm TB. The Fox 55mm MAF is a significant bottle neck as is the stock lower. I've never found a GT40/Cobra/Explorer upper that had a smaller TB oppening than 70mm. This will make the restiction the heads and you will pick up a nice hit in power. Loosing low end in the swap depends somewhat on the cam, but I have dyno tests that show a stock or ported HO intake making more torque/power than the stock GT40 style intake below 3,800-4,200 rpm. This was before and after tests on the same car/engine. Your results may vary......

Really? I know when I got mine it was smaller than 70mm and we had to port match it... Have you done an actual 93 cobra from a 93? I was told mine was an original and bought it on this premise, however, this was also 7 years ago...
