just wondering how much your local dyno is charging to baseline pull (maybe around 2 pulls). This local guy told me $69 bucks for a base pull and a 1/4 mile pull? what is a 1/4 mile pull pray-tell?

Around here you're looking at $100-$150 for a few dyno pulls with a/f. I wouldn't waste my time/put the wear and tear on my car for some useless "1/4 mile" pull on a dyno. Do your dyno with a/f pulls and if he tries to do a "1/4 mile pull" on it, tell him to get the fu ck out of your car

Last time I dynoed (my old 302 combo) I did the dyno pulls myself so I started and ended when I wanted to.

This is not a technical thread and should be in the TALK section:

Around here it $70 for 3 dyno pulls and additional $5 if you want your A/F ratio tracked with a printout.

yea i think the 1/4 mile time would be stupid myself.

I just want a good baseline before I do this explorer/mountaineer engine swap. Just to see exactly what I gain. I think I know of another dyno in town but the guy wont get off the dang phone so I can check his price.

around here we do our own pull. We basically just sit in the car, the guy in the computer booth will give us the roll symbol........we start easing it thru the gears until we get to forth at around 2500 rpm, then he will point at ya and you nail it.............all the way up to where you are gonna shift it.

Around here its $75 for 3 pulls with A/F or $100 an hour with A/F and unlimited pulls. That gives you time to do any adjustments. Either way gives you full print-outs of everything.
