I just got done installing a 331 DSS stroker with 24lb injectors, new Mass air sensor, Ported Alum heads, X303 Cam and a heavily ported intake with new throttle body, equal length headers etc.

I am experienceing some surging/bucking at wot and was wondering if my fuel pressure could be the culpret I have it dialed up to 43psi and that took care of most of it but I thought I would ask someone before I dialed in more pressure. Do you think that I am on the right track?

Thanks for the help

With a 331 you could very well be maxing out those injectors at redline. I had afr 165s, b-31 cam, and a holley systemax on my stock block and was running 90% duty cycle at 5800rpms with my 24lb injectors

Not that this helps much, but who knows....
I've got a buddy with a 347, Trick Flow heads, Street Heat intake, Stage 1 Trick Flow cam, 24 lb. injectors, and he's running at 50.

Not to get off topic but how is your x303 cam in your 331? That is what kind of cam I have in my 331. I am just wondering what kind of performance or number you are getting?

Thanks

I ran through the combination with DSS and they said it should be around 400-425 hp. I am still trying to work out the bugs and then I will dyno it

I would never run 24# injectors if I was using forced induction... you are right they won't support it. Normally asp. based on the flow charts I still have a little reserve. One thing that people never seem to report is how much pressure and Thats why I am asking.
Thanks

How about yours? You sound like you have the same set up as me except the intake and 1.7 rockers.

I have to put the intake on and get it into my car. I am getting excited to get it running. 400+ horse DSS said on yours that is awesome. That is about what I was thinking with mine. It should be a fun car. I posted a thread a month ago and the magority of the guys said go with 30# injectors so that is why I went with 30# injectors. I am also curious about the fuel pressure and how much to use?
