I hope this question isn't too personal but I was wondering how much have you guys (and girls) spent on modifications and upgrades to your stangs. For me, I've already poured so much that I know that there would be no point in selling (not that I would EVER consider selling my stang in the first place) because I wouldn't be able to come close to recouping the expenses. And is anyone ever really done modding???

Mustang= money pit In retrospect though, I'm glad I didn't blow the cash on something else. I'm addicted.

Im probaly right around or just over 2k now. The gears really added alot on, install was semi expensive and all of the bearings and fluids really add up.

Im still EXTREMLEY FAR from happy with the damn thing...

But, as long as the sun rises, I can turn a wrench, and the green doesnt run out Ill keep throwing parts at it till its right...

The way I look at it, if I were to buy a new car I wouldnt find one that id drive for under 23-25k off the showroom floor, so I will keep the Stang and my Jeep and just fix what breaks instead of buying something brand new. And if for some reason I do decide to sell I will look for a Mach 1 or 05+ GT if it fits my needs at the time. Ill save buying a new car for later in life after I hopefully get the ball on a career rolling, only 19 now.

When I was 19 I didn't have two nickels to rub together let alone spend 2 g's on my car.

More than I thought...... $2500 worth. It was hard to remember all the mods.
Just a mix of cosmetic and performance. I also have another addiction......
guitars. Just bought a brand new SRV stratocaster yesterday for about half the
cost of a blower.

ive got about 2 grand into it. I am also 19 ive been slowly buying stuff for it since i got it when i was 17. ill probably call it quits on this stang when i get around 8k. I want to buy a cobra or the new z06 when i graduate college. ive got an insanely good job lined up when i get out so a new z06 or porsche wouldnt be hard at all to pay for.

I have over $8,000 in mine which includes every little thing. I'd say "too much" is when you spend more on your car then what you paid for it and what it is worth. I spent too much on mine already and still have nothing.

I too am 19, I bought my car used with 60,000 miles, and it came with cobra r's and tires, tb and plenum, and catback, which was probably about $2,500.

Since then, I've put another $5,500 in it. Now I'm at the point where I can either be done with the car, or get a shortblock, which wouldn't be for about a year from now. I'm in college (commute) and working a lot, and I've realized that there are much more important things in life than how fast my car is. I'm probably not getting a shortbock for a long time, if at all. I need to keep my money to one day buy a house and more practical car.

Now that my modding is complete, I can't say I regret spending a penny on the car, I absolutely love it. The car is the most "me" thing I've got.

For what I've spend on my Cougar, I could have been making payments on a newer car right now.....with a warranty.
