How much more potential in the car..

Taking my crappy driving skills out of the equation, what do you think my car has in it? First time out in awhile, this time in the 1/8th.. All my runs were on street tires with me badly spinning 1st and 2nd... Here is my final run of the night and my best so far in the 1/8th only..

R/T - .600
60' - 2.078
330 - 5.739
1.8th - 8.718
MPH - 83.01

Nearly stock Mach 1 with 4500 miles.. Only thing I've done is the catback. I think if I got some decent traction I would be able to cut a 8.5.. I think my car as a lot more potential, however I am unable to extract it. Any guesses what I might run in the quarter now?

Best he could muster was a 8.4 @ 86 MPH, after that it was worse.. 8.5 @ 83 MPH and 8.7@ 82 MPH.. He runs mid to high 12's he says in the quarter. If I had drag radials, I think I would have come really close or even beating his ET's.. That 86 MPH might have been tough to beat though.

You probably coulda ran a low/mid 13 on that 1/8 time... I ran 8.8 @ 79.38 when I ran 13.706 @ 100.25. Mach's have a much nicer top end than a GT too. I cut a 1.919 60'.

Ahh 1.9.. Nice. 79 MPH for the mods you have is very sweet. The 2 other Machs there were running 79 & 80.. Stock.. But it was their first time out..

I only had C&L MAF and shifter then
What track do you run at? What's the altitude?

Irwindale Speedway, Ca.. Not sure what the altitude was.. I just looked over there website and couldn't find it either..
