Alright 2 week's ago I went a 12.12 with a 1.60 60FT.

So I pulled off the front nose and removed the crash guard, Put in a Flaming River Manual Rack Since the power steering was leaking bad any way, and also put on some tubular A-arm's. I already have a Tubular K-member.

So what kinda weight saving's do you think I achieved? I know they say For every 100lbs take off a tenth But all this weight is in the front.

Another question for you guy's.. I had 150# coil over's in the front Now I have taken well at least 42lbs off the front so would that hurt my 60ft time's? I'm curious because taken weight off the front of the car and leaving the same spring's in it would make it a little stiffer right? Should I go to 130#?

Oh yeah combo is Stock Shortblock,E-303,GT40Y's,RPM Air-Gap,750 Demon,Bassani LT's,All the bolt on's, MegabyteJR UCA and LCA's, Moroso Rear Trick spring's,50/50 Rear shock's, Strange Adj. Front's

The spring wieght is also based on how much weight and where the weight is. The 150# springs should work well for you and your combo.

don't forget about the extra hp sauce you free'd up by ditching the ps pump.

Well I have 15X4 Welds in the front so turning isnt really an issue. I love it to be honest with ya Cleans up the engine bay plus the steering shaft is a whole lot beefier than the stock one.

Yeah the Rack just give's you alot more road feel. Which is a good thing.
Yeah I've heard to not get the Quick ratio Manual Rack's As I just got the standard Ratio. And also I noticed that you have to turn the wheel a little more to make the same turn" Know what I mean" as opposed to the power steering.

I think you actually took more weight off the front than 10lbs on the p/s pump after counting all the fluid, rack, and pump. I've held all these components seperatly and they weight alot for what they are each. I think that along with the crash comonents and A-arms your looking at a 50lbs drop, then add in the extra h/p from the p/s pulley being removed, I would say at least .2 and a mph or two.
