I've got a 351w on the line here and I want to know if 500 bucks is too much.
It's been rebuilt by a shop. No heads. 69 block bored .03 over.

seems a little high for a short block, maybe if he threw the heads in with it. need to know more about what's inside it too.

He said standard pistons 8.5 to 1 compression. Torque cam. That's about it.

it's probably just got regular cast pistons in it then. $500 for a short block with cast pistons sounds way high to me, i'd pass or at least get him to throw in the heads.

edit: you can have you block bored .030 over and use a hypereutectic piston for about, that maybe less.

Well, I went ahead and bought the 351w today. I paid 400 bucks..actually 399.75 haha! Anyway, I thinks it's fair because I would have had to bore out my old one, buy new pistons and rings. This one is done and rebuilt by a shop.

Tomorrow, I am gonna pull a T5 manual out of an 85 foxbody and then I'll be ready for the fun stuff...
