Look, I work on my friends cars all the time and dont expect anything. And I have a good friend that when I work on his car he brings me tacos and im happy. A good friend dont want money for stuff like that. Just return the favor and buy him a good meal or some beer/booze depending on what he likes. Help him work on the car. Hell my friend grabs all my tools for me when im doing work and that saves alot of crawling out from the car.

Ok, he merely asked what the members on here who might know thought the cable would be worth.
He didn't really ask for opinions or thoughts on anything else.

Well leaving an open ended question like “What do you think Stangnet” at the end of his post most certainly was asking for opinions and thoughts IMO. If all he wanted was a generic dollar amount then he could have just contacted a local parts store and figured it out on his own. Instead, he went through the trouble of making a thread in public internet forum and providing an extensive back story along with his enquiry? To me, when someone cares enough to provide that much detail in their question it also implies that they’re hoping for a little more than a generic one or two word statement to their answer.....so I let mine reflect as much. This is the internet people, if you don’t want answers, then you probably shouldn’t ask the question?

Forgive me for giving a damn and further dragging this out, but I’m just flabbergasted as to how many of you (the original poster included) looked at my post(s) as thought I had hostile intent behind them?
