Just curious. I don't even have a rough idea how much (volume) a gallon is, and there seems to be like 3 different kinds of gallons. We're paying $1.07/Liter here, and i think i've put about ~55L in when very empty, so just under $59 to fill it up.
Just curious what people are paying in different areas in the US? I live in the heart of oil country in alberta, and i've heard we pay a lot more for gas, even though it's all coming from us, and going down to the states....

Ha-Ha, free post! Usually fill-up when it needs about 10 gallons. So, 10 gal at 3.25, about 32-35 dollars. Sucks, when I was little I remember "gas wars" in Michigan, 24.9 cents a gallon!!

once this gets moved, you'll lose the post.

so does the tank hold 10 gallons?

they're predicting $1.50/L when summer comes around here. that means $82 to fill up!

It has everything to do with the taxes that your government places on a liter of fuel.

It costs me about 35 bucks, but i fill up when I'm at about 1/4 tank.

I ran out of gas once, and I wont let it happen again.

i know the majority of our price at the pump is taxes , like we don't get taxed enough! just did some quick research, about 40% of the price at the pump comes from taxes where i live. then we get charged a government sales tax (GST) of 6% afterwards on the full pump price....

are these prices you're stating all for 87 octane? (thats our regular grade here)

(from wikipedia) - a basic overview of the 07/08 budget:

* $39 billion in transfers to provinces for public services and infrastructure
* $2000/child tax credit
* Increase age limit for RRSPs
* $9.2 billion in debt reduction
* $550 million/year to combat the welfare trap
* $140 million to establish a Registered Disability Savings Plan
* Subsidies up to $2000 on low-emissions automobiles and a Gas-guzzler tax up to $4000
* $1.5 billion in transfers to provinces for projects that combat climate change and air pollution[3]
* $400 million to implement national electronic health records
* $612 million to reduce hospital wait times
* $300 million for HPV vaccines
* $60 million increase in Canadian Forces wages
* $600 million for farmer savings plans
* $400 million to offset agriculture production costs

These expenditures and cuts have led to some belief that this is pre-election budget, aimed at enticing voters. [4]

thats what i don't understand.... it doesn't mean anything to me. which is why i'm asking how much for a full tank. no conversion necessary.... we are taught metric only in school, so i dont know what a gallon is. and i know there are several, right? imperial, and some others?

i guess i can figure it out now though, since i know the tank is 15.4 gallons from your previous post.
