How much to get your fiberglass hood painted?

Hey guys, I tried searching to no avail so heres my situation:

(to avoid the whole big story below, I just wanna know how much you paid to have a fiberglass hood prepped, painted and installed)

My hood flew up on me about 3 weeks ago while going around 40mph (we think it never latched properly the last time I closed it and it took a few days to give out) Anyway, the hood and cowl grille are toast, and the cowl area needs straightened out, and instead of getting a stock hood, I decided to get the cervini's 2000 R style hood.

When I first told the body shop that they said 'glass hoods don't have as good a fit and finish as steel, I knew that but I asked them if they ever heard of Cervinis and they said no so I told them that they are supposed to be the top of the line best fit and finish yada yada etc.... So I bought the glass hood and had it shipped directly to the body shop (135 bucks for truck freight#$%!!!)

The body shop called me a few days after they got the hood and said they were looking at the directions and it says the 'glass hood requires different procedures for prep and paint than a steel hood. "OK", I said. A couple days later they call again and said the directions say it has to be baked and painted seperately from the rest of the car and will require more man-hours than the estimate says. I asked how much more and they said about 100-125 bucks more, I asked "So 125 extra bucks MAX?" and they said "yeah about that, we'll have to figure it out as we work on it" I didn't care for that comment at the end but I figured that wasn't bad since they have to drill holes for the hood pins and all and told them ok.

So I left for work Monday and my mother calls me there and says the body shop called HER house (I guess they got her number from my insurance company or something) and they told her that now the hood needs to be hand-sanded and its gonna be about 380 bucks more in labor to do this fiberglass hood. That is IN ADDITION to the 288 dollars of paint and labor for a stock hood that is in the estimate. They also told her they were gonna start working on it to get ready for my appointment on tuesday (the car isn't there yet). I had her call them back and tell them not to do anything to the hood and I would be there to talk to them in person about it tuesday morning. When my mother asked if the hood pins were the extra labor they said they had no idea I had hood pins to be installed and that would be extra money yet!

So I'm going to the body shop later today (its technically EARLY tuesday morning right now) and I'm gonna find out first hand how much this is gonna cost, I'm not paying 700 some dollars just to get a hood painted because the whole point I bought expensive-ass high-quality Cervinis was to avoid a lot of prep work cost.

For those of you who have fiberglass hoods, how much did it cost to have the hood prepped, painted, and installed? Did it have to be hand-sanded????? I think this shop is jerking me around and it kinda scares me that they act like they never painted a fiberglass hood before (I'm gonna ask them if they ever did when I go there) Sorry for being long winded but I want you to get the whole story to understand.
