I am going to get 2001 GT calipers for $15 and was wondering if they are an upgrade to the 95 GT calipers that are on my car now? I have heard that they are better because they have a larger piston bore or something. Can someone explain to me why they are better calipers if they are better? Thank you.

PBR's are definitely worth 15 bucks (and worth it over the stock 94-95 calipers).

Now the one caveat is that if you're not using your existing caliipers to their full potential, the PBRs wont be a huge difference.

It's the name of the company that makes the caliper.

PBR is an Australian company and makes the OEM calipers used on many vehicles. They make the Cobra caliper and the calipers on the Corvette as well as many GM truck calipers.

$15 is a good deal. They go for much more on ebay. They are dual 44.5mm piston calipers and made of lightweight aluminum. More pad area plus more pistons = stronger clamping force.

If you have 94-95 spindles, some slight grinding of the spindle will be necessary to clear the piston bores

Absolutely worth it for $15! My stock 95 brakes sucked. I went to the Cobra setup in front, which the 99+ calipers are probably just as good as around town, and it was a night and day difference.

They are dual 44.5mm pistons vs a single 60mm piston.

I'm too lazy to do the math out for fluid volumn. A lot of 94-98 guys swap them out for the 99+ versions with no MC changes at all.
