well i finally found the source of lean that my car has been plagued with. The bushings on the axle to upper control arms were both bad... in the long run i ended up wearing a nice 1/8" groove into my fms d/s. Will a stock one make that big of a difference???

I think it makes a noticible enough difference. Do you think your FMS D/S is bad now? Is it cracked or anything? I think with just a little groove in it I might still run it as long as it didn't look too deep.

you should be ok on the FMS one. a lil groove like you say should be fine. No launches on slicks at 8000 but you get the idea.. I never did notice much of a differance in mine from stock to aluminum.

well supposedly the d/s is .211" thick and there is about a 3/16" groove worn into it... so its either a lot thicker or im really really really close to coming through that thing... the groove is about 1/8" wide an like stated above 3/16" deep...

The only difference I noticed was that the stock D/S isn't balanced as well as the FMS one... I didn't notice ANY power difference... I started having problems when I went to 4.10 gears, and the whole car vibrated at about 75 MPH... Other than that, I never would have gone to the FMS driveshaft...

In conclusion, if you don't feel any vibration, don't worry about the stock D/S... I'm really speculative whether it helps that much at all with power numbers...

I noticed a difference between my stocker and the FMS, but that may just be because my stock u-joints were about shot.
